DMCA Compliance

Hi there, and thanks for stopping by this page. I know a “DMCA Compliance” page sounds a little serious and lawyer-y (and okay, parts of it have to be), but I want to keep this as human and honest as I can, because respecting people’s work genuinely matters to me.

A little honesty about the images here

Here’s the deal. She Know Style is all about sharing home decor ideas and inspiration, and to help you actually picture those ideas, I sometimes feature images that are publicly available from around the web, including other websites, Pinterest, and Instagram.

I never claim these images as my own. They belong to the lovely, talented people who created them, and whenever I reasonably can, I try to credit the original source or link back to it. My whole goal is to inspire, never to take credit for someone else’s beautiful work.

But I also know mistakes happen. Maybe an image slipped through without proper credit, or maybe you’re the creator and you’d simply prefer it not be here.

If that’s you, I completely understand, and I want to make this right. No drama, no hassle. Just reach out and I’ll take care of it quickly.

If you’d like something removed or credited differently

If you own the copyright to an image or any content on this Site (or you’re authorized to act on the owner’s behalf) and you believe it’s been used in a way that isn’t right, you can send me a takedown request.

To help me act on it quickly and properly, please include the following in your notice:

  1. Your contact information, including your full name, email address, and, if relevant, the company or person you represent.
  2. A description of the copyrighted work you believe has been infringed, so I know exactly what you’re referring to.
  3. The exact location (URL) on She Know Style where the content appears, so I can find it without any guesswork.
  4. A statement that you have a good-faith belief that the use of the material is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law.
  5. A statement that the information in your notice is accurate, and that you are the copyright owner or are authorized to act on the owner’s behalf.
  6. Your physical or electronic signature.

Please send your complete notice to:

Email: asksheknowstyle@gmail.com

What happens next

Once I receive a valid request, here’s my promise to you: I’ll review it promptly and, where appropriate, remove or properly credit the content as quickly as I reasonably can, typically within a few business days.

If I need any clarification, I’ll reach out to the email you provide.

I take this seriously and I’ll always treat your request with respect and good faith. You shouldn’t have to fight to protect your own work, and I won’t make you.

Counter-notification

If content you posted or submitted to this Site was removed and you believe that was a mistake or misidentification, you’re welcome to send a counter-notification to the same email address above.

Please include your contact information, a description of the content that was removed, the location where it previously appeared, and a statement, made in good faith, explaining why you believe it was removed in error.

A final note

At the end of the day, this little corner of the internet is built on a love of beautiful spaces and the creative people who make them.

I have so much respect for fellow creators, and I never want anyone to feel their work was used unfairly here.

So if something’s not right, please don’t hesitate to tell me. I’d genuinely rather hear from you and fix it than have you feel overlooked.

Thank you for understanding, and for helping me keep this space kind and fair for everyone.
